Is is possible when two items touch(Such as the player and an enemy), to have one of the Movieclips swap to another Movieclip?

I need some actionscript for these things: when bullets run out, you can't kill enemies or shoot, and when magazines(ammo cartridges) reach zero, you are not allowed to shoot, even if you reload.
